FOHL Players of the Month (September)


September's players of the month are presented by Skip The Dishes, official partner of the FOHL



Player of the Month - Anthony Salinitri (Niagara IceDogs)
After being acquired in the offseason, Salinitri has taken the challenge of being returned for an overage season with lightning in his veins. He's been on a better than a point per game pace, and currently leads the league in points. While the Ice Dogs may not be performing to expectations, Salinitri has more than delivered, just like how SkiptheDishes can deliver right to your door.



Goalie of the Month - Kyle Keyser (Oshawa Generals)
The mighty Oshawa Generals have been rolling this season, and that is thanks in part to veteran netminder Kyle Keyser. Largely predicted to be one of the top goalies entering this season, Keyser has more than defied expectations to cement his status as #1 in the league. Just like how SkiptheDishes has cemented their status as the #1 food delivery app in Ontario.


Rookie of the Month - Donovan Sebrango (Mississauga Steelheads)
With a lot of offensive firepower in this rookie class, analysts would have predicted a Cole Perfetti or Quinton Byfield holding the monthly honors, however it's been the 15th overall pick, Donovan Sebrango who has stolen the crown. Scoring 7 points in 6 games, Sebrango has brought a spark to a rebuilding Steelheads squad and has become relied on more by Mississauga than SkiptheDishes is relied on to bring your favorite fast food right to your front door.

Defenseman of the Month - Noel Hoefenmayer (Ottawa 67's)
The veteran blueliner has been on an absolute tear for the Ottawa 67's and been a major part of why they're among the top teams in the league. Sporting three goals and a ridiculous nine assists in just 7 games player, Hoefenmayer has proven the Arizona Coyotes true in their investment of a draft selection in him, and his play has left the rest of the defenders in the dust, much like SkiptheDishes has left their competition in the dust. *ba dum tss*

2019 Draft Weekend Recap

Another whirlwind weekend has come and gone for the FOHL. We saw all 20 GMs, and a few assistants as well gather for a spectacular couple days that saw the Import Draft, Priority Draft and an unprecedented level of trade activity. It would be impossible to recap everything that happened, but some moves completely altered the landscape of the league. We are here to examine the top 3 additions that teams have made over the offseason and the draft weekend, 1. Ryan Merkley 2. Allan McShane 3. Steve! The Barrie Colts came into the draft without a lot of draft capital, but also not a lot of needs. They were poised to emerge as one of the league's top teams, and cemented that status by acquiring Ryan Merkley and Allan McShane to pad a stacked lineup.
