FOHL Players of the Month (November)
November's Players of the Month brought to you by SkipTheDishes, official partner of the FOHL
Player of the Month - Justin Brazeau (Ottawa 67's)
The overager came alive in November, taking over the scoring lead in the league and providing a six point cushion on his next closest rival. His dominance has also carried the 67's through the month, and if he continues his torrent pace, he might finally draw the attention of NHL scouts. Undrafted through his OHL career, Brazeau is looking to get a pro contract after his season in Ottawa is over.
Goaltender of the Month - Ivan Prosvetov (Erie Otters)
He started to really elevate his game in late October, after the Otters shook the hockey world by dealing a certain superstar forward, and when expectations were that Erie was going to tank, that is when Prosvetov put the team on his shoulders. He's gone from being a good goalie to joining elite company in the league, and if he continues to drag the corpse of the Erie Otters with him in to the post season, he could be in discussion for MVP.
Rookie of the Month - Jean-Luc Foudy (Peterborough Petes)
After twice scoring hat tricks in the month of November, Foudy has shown flashes of brilliance playing a second line role in Peterborough. He was part of a blockbuster offseason trade and trails only Quinton Byfield in points and goals by a rookie. Though the aforementioned Byfield may have a lock on Rookie of the Year titles, the Petes will be happy with Foudy leading their team in scoring and showing tremendous potential.
Defenseman of the Month - Kade Landry (Hamilton Bulldogs)
The top pairing blueliner for Hamilton has reaped the benefits of logging lots of minutes for the squad, and the offense seems to flow through him. He's the top PPQB option for Hamilton, and paired with his hard shot from the point and crisp first-pass, it's no wonder he's rising up the scoring list. He's a candidate to be dealt at the deadline, and other teams looking to improve their production from the point have to be considering this guy.
