Intangibles List


Last year we took at the top players sorted by certain attributes. When it came to captains, we ranked players by their level of leadership. That ranking definitely played a part in the season, as reigning champion Ryan Cranford was dealt from the Kingston Frontenacs to the Erie Otters, where he helped the young squad out of the first round. This year, we're expecting the new leader to have a similar impact on a squad that's looking to make the jump into contention.

Similarly, in honor of a big UFC event, we ranked the top heavyweights in the league by strength alone. This article will provide a fresh update of that in 2019, as well as as a number of other lists. This should provide some quick insight in to what players are poised to have a major impact this season.

2019 Draft Weekend Recap

Another whirlwind weekend has come and gone for the FOHL. We saw all 20 GMs, and a few assistants as well gather for a spectacular couple days that saw the Import Draft, Priority Draft and an unprecedented level of trade activity. It would be impossible to recap everything that happened, but some moves completely altered the landscape of the league. We are here to examine the top 3 additions that teams have made over the offseason and the draft weekend, 1. Ryan Merkley 2. Allan McShane 3. Steve! The Barrie Colts came into the draft without a lot of draft capital, but also not a lot of needs. They were poised to emerge as one of the league's top teams, and cemented that status by acquiring Ryan Merkley and Allan McShane to pad a stacked lineup.
